Dimapur TOLIC emphasis on use of Hindi

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): The bi-annual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC (Town Official Language Implementation Committee) was held at Assam Rifles Training Centre & School, Dimapur under the Chairmanship of Colonel TT Jamir, Commanding Officer, No 2 Training Battalion, Assam Rifles Training Centre & School (ARTC&S) on January 20. 

Altogether, 50 members of Central Government offices, Banks and PSUs situated in Dimapur attended the meet. 

Major Rahul Verma, Secretary, TOLIC addressed the meeting followed by a detailed brief on the various aspects of TOLIC meet by Hindi Officer, Asit Kamal of ARTC&S. 

Representative members of TOLIC, Dimapur presented feedback on official work in Hindi in their offices, stated a press release received here. 

After analysing the progress on implementation of Official Language, Chairman TOLIC Dimapur, Colonel TT Jamir, Commanding Officer, No 2 Training Battalion, ARTC&S emphasised the importance of use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India regarding progressive use of Hindi. 

Badri Yadav, Dy Director, Department of Official Language (NE Region), Regional Implementation Office, Guwahati, also attended the meeting as the representative of Ministry of Home Affairs. He requested all members to religiously attend TOLIC meet for effective implementation of official language in their offices. He conveyed special compliments to Hindi Translator, Nb Sub APS Guleria of ARTC&S for his outstanding and sustained performance to organise TOLIC activities in the most desired manner.

Suggestions and feedback were invited by the Hindi Officer and the same were addressed and discussed in the meet.
