Dimapur, May 1 (MExN): A mass social work and clean-up drive was conducted in Ward-13, Dimapur, under the leadership of DMC Councilor R Chubazungla on April 30.
An update received here stated that the event was held in collaboration with Greenguard, a waste management solution provider, and was organised by the Planning & Development Committee of Ward-13.
The primary objective of the drive was to raise awareness among residents about the importance of proper waste segregation and sustainable waste management practices. Volunteers from Greenguard actively participated by demonstrating effective waste segregation techniques and visiting various colonies to separate recyclable, biodegradable, and non-recyclable waste.
Khriemelie Metha, founder of Greenguard, addressed ward residents on simple yet impactful methods households can adopt to contribute to a cleaner environment.
Medo Metha, Convenor of the Planning & Development Committee, expressed gratitude to Councilor Chubazungla for her leadership and to Greenguard for their valuable support in the initiative.
