Dimapur, May 10 (MexN): The Dimapur district administration has lifted the containment measures enforced in Dimapur’s Thakurbari area and has declared the locality to be “out of containment zone’ from May 11.
Thakurbari is a small neighbourhood within what is known as Marwari Patti.
An order issued by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Anoop Khinchi on May 10 stated that the area has been declared ‘out of containment zone’ due to the absence of any positive case for last 28 days.
The order was issued in pursuance of a letter received from the office of Chief Medical Officer on May 9, it said.
However, as specified in the lockdown measure, the DC’s order stated that National COVID-19 directive and standard operating protocol for social distancing must be ensured.
“Any person violating this order will be liable to proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC,” it said.
This order comes into force with effect from May 11, it added.
