
Kohima, November 1 (MExN): The officers and staff of DIPR expressed shocked on the sudden demise of KK Peseyie, former Director of Information & Public Relations Department at Kohima on October 31.
Director IPR, Z Tokishe Sema in a condolence message stated that Peseyie joined DIPR as an Information Officer and later served as the Director from 1983 to 1991. He lived for 30 years after his retirement as the Director. The officers and staff of DIPR remember him as the ideal leader and the very efficient government servant that he was. He served the Department with honesty and integrity, his God loving nature was seen through his attributes as a government servant par excellence. He took utmost care of the staff working under him and created a very conducive environment for the staff to execute their duties. He was a person who had a lot of patience, his genuine care and love for his subordinate staff will always be remembered.
It stated that Peseyie was a warm personality who was highly respected and regarded by all of us. He shared a good rapport with all, and under him the Department has made a huge stride in providing service to the people and the Government. He was a visionary leader who served with utmost dedication and compassion. His death is a huge loss to the society as well as the Department, and he will be remembered for all his contributions.
“Peseyie was an active student leader who played a significant role in students’ organization in his earlier years. Being an avid reader, he was a storehouse of knowledge; he wrote regular editorials on issues confronting the affairs of the State,” it added.
The officers and staff of the Department have conveyed condolence to Peseyie's and pray that the Almighty God grant solace and fortitude during this time.
