Dimapur, January 31 (MExN): Lt General Sukhdeep Sangwan, SM, Director General Assam Rifles is on a visit to Nagaland, IGAR (N) from January 30 to February 1. The Director General of Assam Rifles was briefed on the operational and administrative preparedness wherein he expressed his confidence about the security measures in place for ensuring a peaceful and secure environment in the state. The Director General also visited Wokha, Kiphire, Tuensang, Shamatore and Zunheboto to review the security situation and interact with troops of Assam Rifles. He was accompanied by IGAR (North). The General officer commended the troops of Assam Rifles for their devotion and dedication to duty and enthused the officers and men to continue the good work and live upto the motto ‘Friends of the North East’.
