Kohima, May 23 (MExN): Lieutenant General PP Malhotra, Vishisht Seva Medal, Director General NCC on his visit to Nagaland arrived at Kohima on the second day. He carried out an interaction with NCC Cadets and Associated NCC Officers from various schools and colleges of Kohima region.
Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence) through a press release informed that Lt Gen Malhotra also visited Kohima War Cemetery and paid homage to martyrs of World War–II and appreciated the efforts of Nagaland Government for good maintenance of the world famous war memorial in such excellent manner.
Thereafter, he visited 1 Nagaland Girls Battalion NCC, 24 (I) NCC Company, Kohima, NCC Group Headquarters at Kohima where he was briefed by the commanding officers of each unit about NCC enrolment progress and other NCC activities and was also briefed by the Group Commander Brigadier SS Dhankhar on various issues peculiar to functioning of NCC in Nagaland. He was also provided with an update on latest achievements of NCC Kohima Group and its units, the release added.
