DIS Kiphire refutes claims of VEC Hurong GPS

DIMAPUR, SEPT 20 (mexn): The Deputy Director of Schools (DIS) Kiphire has refuted the claims of the VEC Hurong Village that any ‘front’ visited the schools under the establishment of the DIS Kiphire and also of the allegations that there was not sufficient teaching staff.

DIS Kiphire Y Shahoto Yim in a rejoinder clarified that there were teachers but the VEC of the concerned school had granted leave to the teachers and holiday given to the students and that the VEC had neither informed the matter to the concerned circle SIS or forwarded any leave application to the concerned authorities. “So far as the norms of the communitisation is concerned, the VEC is empowered for monitoring the school as their own and not to empower to grant any leave to any teachers, so there is no question of non-availability of the teachers at GPS Hurong” stated the rejoinder. The DIS also regretted that unauthorized holidays were given to the students by the VEC GPS Hurong “since the VEC of GPS Huronger has knowingly neglected the principle of ‘no work, no pay”.

“Moreover the transfer order for a teacher and re-deployment in a shortage teachers in any school cannot be adjusted/re-deployed immediately since there is some teachers shortage schools quoting the example of GPS Khongka monitoring by a single teacher by name Lamong, Primary teacher” stated the DIS. The deputy inspector of Schools asked the VEC ZGPS Huronger to explain personally to the official on the “pros and Cons” and for justification of August 16 2005, immediately. He reminded that the DIS was the controlling officer as authorized “with a clear mind that I have personally visited the concerned school on 9th April 2005 for both improvement and development and also for producing quality education.” It added that the DIS on the consideration of departmental authority and at no cause had re-deployed three teachers to the concerned school in the interest of public service.
