Changtongya, October 5 (MExN): Vocational training on bamboo craft for leaders of Disable People’s Organization was held at Grace Society, Changtongya Town office campus. The programme was organized by Grace Society Community Based Rehabilitation Forum (CBRF).
The trainer was Salonger from Mongsenyimti Village who is a recipient of Samarthya Award, 2017 from the project area under CBRF. Altogether, 18 leaders from different Village Disable People’s Organization (VDPO) attended the training.
The training was conducted according to CBRF planner with the objectives to train the Disable People’s Organization leaders how to make different products with the available raw materials found in their area and become self reliant thereby contributing to the society as well as enhancing their family’s income, added Chubawati, Coordinator of Grace Society CBRF. They were trained on making different bamboo crafts products like tray, pen stand and curtain clip.
