Zunheboto, December 21 (MExN): The Winter Concert organised by District Band Zunheboto was held with Er Kitoshe Aye, Superintending Engineer, PHED as the special guest at Multi Purpose Hall, Zunheboto town on December 20.
In his keynote address, Er Kitoshe Aye said that music is one of the greatest gifts God has imparted to all mankind. Appreciating the vision of District Band Zunheboto, he assured solidarity and support to the band to promote upcoming young artists.
“Let this Music Concert mark the beginning of new era where all the young and old get an opportunity to enjoy music and avail platform through District Band and serve the purpose of the district band and set good examples to the youngsters,” he stated.
EAC Zunheboto Viketoulie Metha briefed on the formation of District Band Zunheboto. He said that band was officially formed and launched on April 10, 2021 during the then Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto Peter Lichamo as Chairman and Vikheshe Aye as Vice Chairman along with like-minded citizens, artists with band members of Zunheboto. Currently, Rahul Mali, IAS Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto holds the in-charge as chairman.
In a press release Vitoka Aye, organising member & Convener, Media Cell said that the District Band Zunheboto along with National Awards recipients, Sangeet Natak Akademi NK Naga and Sunon G Zhimo participated in the Winter Concert.
