District Governor visits Rotary Club Dimapur

Dimapur, October 14 (MExN): Rotary International District 3240 Governor Dr Debashish Das paid his official club visit to Rotary Club of Dimapur accompanied by his wife Dr Charis and Assistant Governor Sanjay Jain who was welcomed by President Ashok Agarwal on behalf of the club.

In the day-long function, he laid the foundation stone for adopting the Government Primary School Eralibill, Dimapur for converting it into a happy school that shall provide better amenities.

Dr Das also dedicated the Rotary Multi – Service centre at Tragopan junction constructed by Rotary Club of Dimapur which provides the facilities of safe drinking water, washroom and a restroom to the people of the town with showcasing of Rotary focus areas of service as part of celebrating 100 years of Rotary in India.

Dr Das also inaugurated safe drinking water point at Midland Colony, Dimapur built by the club for the residents.

A press release from Rotary Club Dimapur stated that these were the pilot projects of the Rotary Club Dimapur under Water and Sanitation Programs & Hygiene.

A series of meeting were held and the District Governor was briefed on the various activities that the club has been doing with the assessment of community needs.

Dr Das appreciated the club members and the team led by President Ashok Agarwal and Secretary Avijith Chowdhury for doing remarkable projects for the people of Dimapur.
