The All Nagaland Private Schools Association, Mokokchung Unit organized the District Level Literary Competition at Model Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung on September 9. Quiz and Extempore were the two competitive categories in the literary competition, which was participated by seven schools. Before the competitions began, Rev Fr Sajimong, Principal, Queen Mary HSS invoked God’s presence while Dr Anungla Aier, President, MNPSA, gave the welcome address.
The first, second, and third prize winners in the extempore competition were Kisangwala Longkumer from Bridges Academy, Changtongya, Chendila Walling from Queen Mary HSS; and Temjenlemla from Canaan Christian HSS.
In the quiz competition, Chumlanthung Rangthang and Yimren L Jamir from Queen Mary HSS bagged the first position. Yimchar Imchen and Aotoshi Longkumer from Ladybird School bagged the second, while Md Khurshed Reja and Tosachingchong from Canaan Christian HSS and Md Asif Ansari and Sunepjungla Pongen from Straightway HSS bagged third.
The winners were awarded with cash prizes and certificates, and they will be participating in the state level competition at Kohima.
The judges for the events were Imyatetla, PGT (English), Mayangnokcha Higher Secondary School and Kevezai Tureng, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung.
