
Dimapur, January 28 (MExN): All colonies under Dimapur municipality have been informed to ban all slaughter/processing of meat meant for human consumption and sale of meat in open air or unhygienic environments.
This was informed as per the meeting held on January 25 between the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Veterinary Public Health Cell and representatives of colonies under Dimapur Municipality.
Informing this in a press release, Moa Sangtam, Administrator, DMC notified that all meat are to be taken to the Modem Slaughter House located at Burma Camp, Khatkati road for processing. Also all meat shops are to be upgraded to provide hygienic environment free from dust and flies and clean running water in their shops.
“The colony authorities may impose fines as deemed fit for implementation of the resolution,” the administrator stated further.
Colonies notified on e-waste
In another release, the administrator stated that as per the meeting held on January 25 between DMC, E-Circle and representatives of colonies under Dimapur Municipality, all the colonies are informed to submit the names of the colony incharge for collection of electronic waste and the location of the collection point in each colonies.
