Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): Before the onset of rainy season, the Dimapur Municipal Council garbage dumping ground has been leveled with the help of machineries. In its continued effort to provide better service to the people of Dimapur, DMC has also been doing its best to keep the dumping ground in good state.
DMC advisor in charge of sanitation, Lepshi Ao, stated that the site of present dumping ground is not adequate and with tons of garbage being dumped everyday, it is getting difficult to maintain the present dumping ground and soon there will be no space left for dumping. A press note issued by Publicity Cell, DMC appeals, in the interest of all the people of Dimapur, not to throw tree branches and trunks, old building material or soil etc which could be of use other way round into DMC’s designated dustbins.
