Dimapur, June 12 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has announced a revision of the monthly residential sanitary fee from Rs 80 to Rs 100, with effect from July 1, 2026.
In a notification, the council said the revised fee would be applicable to all residential households under the jurisdiction of the DMC.
The decision follows a meeting held with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Dimapur on March 30, 2026, during which the fee revision was agreed upon.
The council said the increase has been necessitated by the rising cost of waste collection, transportation, disposal and sanitation management services.
The DMC appealed to residents to cooperate by making timely payment of the revised fee to facilitate the efficient delivery of sanitation services across the city.
