Dimapur, September 4 (MExN): The Management of the Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School (DMHSS) organised teachers' day pre-celebration at DABA Town Fellowship Church on Saturday exclusively with the teachers without physical presence of the students owing to the restriction of COVID-19 SOPs.

While appreciating the contribution of the teachers in nation building, Rev I Wati, pastor DABA encouraged the teaching community to have patience in moulding the students with different characters. “You are not teaching only a prescribed syllabus in the school but most importantly, you are making a huge impact on hundreds of students by your lifestyle and characters,” the Reverend exhorted the teachers. As he took time to offer prayer for teachers, the pastor reminded the teachers that teaching profession is noble and honourable and they are chosen people by God.

DMHSS Governing Board chairman, K Temjen Jamir felicitated the teachers by giving away awards and gifts in recognition of their commitment and extra care shown to the students particularly during such difficult time. DMHSS Principal, Alemtushi presented the school academic report and Meyamongla said a word of gratitude to the school Management on behalf of the teachers. The programme was conducted by the School Governing Board member, Dr Maongkala Longchar and Dr Bendangjungshi pronounced invocation and Rev Wati Kichu said benediction.
