CHÜMOUKEDIMA, NOVEMBER 5 (MExN): Bringing generations closer, DMI St. Joseph Global School (DMISJGS), Chümoukedima celebrated its first-ever ‘Grandparents Day’ with heartfelt respect and admiration on November 4. The event brought together beloved grandparents of the pre-primary and primary sections, fostering a sense of togetherness, joy and unity, a press release stated. 

The event was graced by Rev Sr Gnanaselvam DMI, DFT-President, Tamil Nadu as gust of honour. The celebration commenced with an enchanting performance by the school's youngest members, the kids, who showcased their talents with a special dance. 

The highlight of the event was a series of fun and engaging games that featured both the grandparents and their energetic grandchildren. The children, brimming with excitement, wholeheartedly cheered for their beloved grand-dads and grand-moms as they actively participated in the games.

The grandparents displayed an incredible spirit of sportsmanship and youthful exuberance, which warmed the hearts of all present. They even held the hands of their precious grandchildren while participating in some of the games, symbolizing the strong bond and affection shared between generations, the press release stated. 

The presence of the children served as a motivating factor for all participants, inspiring them to give their best and relish the day's festivities. 

Principal Dr Marianathan, expressed his gratitude and satisfaction, saying, "Grandparents Day at DMISJGS was a delightful and memorable event that showcased the strong connections within our school community. We are delighted to have celebrated this day, highlighting the significance of grandparents in our students' lives and fostering bonds that will last a lifetime."
