Kohima, March 2 (MExN): The yearlong Silver Jubilee celebrations of Dolphin Club, L. Khel, Kohima Village got underway with the formal inauguration on March 1 in Tsiera Hall, L. Khel, Kohima Village.
The programme was graced by Rev. Keduokienyü Dzüvichü, Pastor, Baptist Revival Church, Kohima Village who invoked God’s blessing upon the celebrations and also unveiled the Club Building Blueprint. The inaugural programme organized as a family gathering brought together well wishers, old and new members alike who exchanged pleasantries and reminisced about the past years.
A consultative meeting was also convened after dinner during which the events planned for the year were discussed in detail.
The Silver Jubilee celebrations will kick start with the Sekrenyi Football Trophy on March 7 at T.M. Govt. High School Ground, Kohima, followed by Cultural Competition and Tug-of-war on March 10 in L. Khel, Kohima Village.
Other events to be organized later this year are as follows: May – Medical Camp, July– Seminar, August– Annual Sales-cum-Fete Day, September – Spero Meliora (Literary Competition), October – Club Foundation Observance & Building Inauguration, December– Culmination Programme & Release of Souvenir.
Meanwhile, all the club members have been requested to keep note of the calendar events and take active participation to make the celebrations a grand success.
