Wokha, June 17 (MExN): To acknowledge the selfless service rendered by the frontline workers, District Administration, Police, Medical departments and other NGOs in combating the prevailing pandemic, the Don Bosco Alumni Association Wokha unit, donated essential commodities like pork, fruits, potatoes, milk, lea leaves, and biscuits for the returnees staying at the quarantine centers on June 17.
The association also donated cash amount of Rs. 30,000 each for Bhandari quarantine center and Sanis quarantine center, Rs. 20,000 for the Health care workers, Rs. 20,000 each for the Police personnel and SDRF (Home Guards) and Rs. 5000 for the caretakers COVID kitchen. The cash amount was handed over to the Deputy Commissioner, SP and Chief Medical Officer.
Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Orenthung Lotha, expressed gratitude to the DBS alumni association for the generous contribution extended towards the frontline workers during such time of crisis. The association has initiated this on the theme “Mission Humanity” a loving gesture towards the COVID quarantine center and frontline workers, as part of their commitment joining towards tackling the Corona virus, and to show their sympathy to the frontline workers and to the returnees.
