Kohima, November 28 (MExN): In response to the Nagaland Public Rights Awareness and Action Forum’s allegation that the Finance Department (Budget & Monitoring Cell) released Rs 8.98 crore to the Department of Planning & Co-ordination (DoPC) for payment of financial assistance to 41 “unnamed beneficiaries” under capacity building 2017-18, the department today clarified that the list so published in various local media was initially proposed to be taken up. “However, it was finally decided to replace the original one,” stated a press release from Commissioner & Secretary, M. Patton. Hence, it said, the list published in the local media is superseded by a new list.
