As a part of the post-celebration of the International Women’s day 2024, the Doyang Hydro Power Station of NEEPCO conducted a seminar & workshop on women empowerment and women’s wellbeing under the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’ on April 6.
DIMAPUR, APRIL 7 (MExN): As a part of the post-celebration of the International Women’s day 2024, the Doyang Hydro Power Station of NEEPCO conducted a seminar & workshop on women empowerment and women’s wellbeing under the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’ on April 6. The workshop was conducted for the women employees of NEEPCO and its associated organisation namely CISF, VKV and also for the local women’s residing around Doyang Hydro.
The prime objective of the programme was to help women adopt a life of holistic wellness for their all-round being.
Special guest of the programme, Lily P. Chawang, General Manager ONGC Ltd spoke about the basic need of human survival based on Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy on need and how each stage plays an important role in basic human survival and gradually move to a meaningful life.
She emphasised on work life balance irrespective of their job profile, be it a home maker or an employee and how each assigned role in our respective work should be carried with sincerity, honesty and efficiency. By doing so one can achieve meaningful life and adds job satisfaction, she pointed out.
Resource person Bokatoli Sumi, Counselling Psychologist from Serendip Guardians spoke on women’s mental health and how social support plays an important role in achieving good mental health, ended with self care activities. The participants were engaged in activities like trust walk, breathing exercise and self-reflection questions.
Head of Plant and in-charge for Doyang HPS, Er Dalim Barman in his concluding remarks thanked the participants and also spoke on the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion.’
