Dimapur. July 2 (MExN): The Land Owners Union, DHEP, Doyang, Wokha district held a meeting on June 28, where resolutions were passed by the union following derecognizing of the then office bearers. A new team of office bearers has been instated. The house also approved its first draft of the union’s constitution which shall be applicable in all the functioning and activities of the Doyang Land Owners Union with effect from June 28, 2006.
Also, in exercise of the “powers” provided in article “XIII, Clause II” of the union constitution, the five years tenure of office has been extended for the executives. Other resolutions passed pertaining to the union during the executive meeting include construction of a union office building and keeping in abeyance all the resolutions adopted by the then office bearers (taken) without the “consent and approval of the house”. These resolutions includes programmes of agitation, ban, demands for transfer of officers, memorandums and representations, settlement of all disputes within the frame of the union’s constitution, recovery of union official files/documents etc. This was informed in a release issued by T Hayithung Odyuo, Executive Convener and Lawrence Murry, Executive Member Secretary.
