DPDB meeting reviews preparation of Wokha District 50 yrs celebration

Wokha, December 8 (MExN): The Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall on December 8. The meeting was chaired by DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha Ajit Kumar Ranjan.

During the meeting, the board reviewed on the preparation for Wokha District Golden Jubilee celebration scheduled on December 21. Advisor for Agriculture & Chairman DPDB Wokha, Mhathung Yanthan addressing the house on the jubilee said, “The joyous occasion is to be celebrated in a grand and buffeting manner.” He appealed to all the citizens of Wokha district to actively participate and make the celebration a grand success.

The DC Wokha highlighted on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra undertaken in Wokha district. He said that the campaign is aimed at raising awareness through outreach activities to achieve saturation of various Government schemes including PM Kisan, Kisan Credit card, agriculture and farmers’ welfare and all the PM rural schemes. 

Adding that the scheme is to reach out to the vulnerable eligible under various central schemes but have not benefited, he said, “Through this programme citizens will be sensitised to avail the various schemes and programmes of the government.”

Advisor Yanthan while wishing the successful implementation of the schemes in the district, he also urged all the departments to extend full cooperation so that all section of the society gets the benefits.

PowerPoint presentation was made by Assistant Manager, LPG-S DMP-II IOC Himantshi Saikia on PM UJALA–ADS LPG scheme, General Manager DIC Wokha highlighted on PM Vishwa Karma. He stated that it is a central sector scheme aimed to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftsmen who work within their hands and tools, the scheme covers artisans and craftsmen engaged in such trades particularly for daily wage earners.
