Longleng, March 9 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W Manpai Phom, NCS at the DPDB conference hall, Longleng on March 7.
The meeting reviewed the previous meeting minutes, where the chairman apprised the house that various government office buildings and institutional buildings such as - Rural Development, polytechnic, ITI, etc. in the district have been completed. However, these buildings have remained unoccupied even after competition and are deteriorating over the years, stated a DIPR report.
He therefore urged the concerned officers in charge to take keen interest in making the buildings functional and useful. He also instructed the house to identify any shortfalls in provisions, manpower, and infrastructure in the district offices so that the district administration could bring the matter to the government's attention.
SDO (C), Meyazungba Jamir, presented an update on the Inter-Departmental Tournament, which is scheduled for April, while the ADC Tamlu, T Lankensen Tsanglao informed the house to notify the officers of Tamlu Sub-Division regarding the implementation of various projects or activities, enabling them to coordinate and provide logistical support to the departments. He also requested that Tamlu Sub-Division be included in the expansion of any activities and programs.
The DC informed that in many departmental activities, the district has been performing exceptionally well. Encouraging the HoDs to maintain their efforts, he assured them of continuous coordination and cooperation in all activities. Referring to various committee meetings, the DC emphasized that representatives should not be sent in place of HoDs. He appreciated the presence of many HoDs at the meeting and further encouraged their active participation in the upcoming DPDB meetings and other official programs.
The Department of Food and Civil Supply presented its departmental activities through a PowerPoint presentation during the meeting. In the next DPDB meeting, the chairman entrusted the Department of Economics and Statistics for the presentation.
Tuensang: The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board held its meeting on March 7 at DC’s conference hall, Tuensang with Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa chairing the meeting.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the house approved and recommended the registration of Thrive Rural Society, Tuensang, a DIPR report stated.
The DC Tuensang highlighted on the co-ordination meeting cum workshop held on March 5 at CBLT, conference hall with the Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS), Government Officers, Ward Representative, TCCI, DBs and GBs on Drug Control, HIV and Waste Management at Tuensang Town. She also highlighted on the RTI Training to be organized at Tuensang in the month of April and requested the HODs of the district to attain the Training Programme.
Principal of Sao Chang College, Dr Lanurenla requested the concern Department to assist the students of the College in their internship paper of the semester as they will be visiting and seeking assistances on skill learning program, cybercrime, Agriculture, Fisheries and Art & Craft.

Peren: Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held at Peren Government College on March 6 under the Chairmanship of DC & Vice Chairman, DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru.
As per the DIPR report, speaking at the meeting, Meru apprised the members that DPDB Peren has adopted Peren Government College. He highlighted the efforts made by various departments that contributed to the adoption of Peren Government College by the DPDB and appealed for more departments to lend aid in any manner to help the college obtain NAAC Accreditation. He also informed the house about the Governor's visit to Tening on March 20 and requested all the HODs to be present positively. He also directed the departments having offices at the District Headquarter to clean up their respective office compounds inorder to avoid incidences of forest fires.
Key agendas such as adoption of Peren Government College; adoption of GPS, New Peren and Green Peren Outlet at Jalukie & Peren were discussed.
The house also discussed and approved the proposal for inclusion of infrastructure development of CHC Jalukie and proposal for modification of area for Peren Town Council.
ADPM (DDMU), Ruuvilie Kotsu gave a presentation on Village Reduction Poverty Plan through a PowerPoint, while Rural Development Department and Government Polytechnic, Peren were entrusted to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
The meeting was also attended by teaching faculties and students community of Peren Government College.
