Dream Café— Where good things happen— today celebrated its 10th anniversary by offering thanks to God for connecting people to dream and move towards the right path. Situated beneath UCO Bank at Seer’s Bazaar, TCP Gate here, this meeting point for the youth over a cup of coffee and yummy treats, was started by trio Theja Meru, Rev. Jeanne Lee and Bambi Kevichusa way back in 2002.

Dream Café is a pioneer of the ‘café concept’ in Nagaland. The place is well known for its live mini gigs, and is a great platform for local musicians and artists to perform, or display their art. Addressing the function, Rev. Jeanne Lee from Faith Leaders International Ministries INC, Bangalore maintained that God has done many good works for Dream Café.

Stating that people are created to do good works, she called upon people to chase after the best.

Asking people to seek the “very best” from God, she also told the audience present to increase their relationship with God.

“You will attain your best as long as you have a relationship with God,” she said.  Rev. Lee asserted that God has plan for Nagas and called upon them to seek God’s guidance and wisdom to flourish. “You are a fascinating people,” she praised the Naga people adding that she was fascinated by the musical talent here. Rev. Lee also encouraged the people to value themselves. “Never look down on yourself,” she said, adding that if one does not value himself/herself other people will not value you.

Stating that Dream Café has been created to make dreams and visions, she said it is now upto one and all to make the best use of it and accomplish their dreams and flourish.

She continued that Dream Café is just for Nagas, and for them to do something great for “your nation”.

In this, she urged upon the Nagas to rise up and do something good for the nation.

Lee also urged upon the Nagas to make friends with others, not enemies.

With Dream Café, she was optimistic that it will continue to generate good things and take the people forward, into progress.

Earlier, Theja Meru acknowledged one and all for their constant touch and support to Dream Café during its 10 years journey. He was also hopeful that the people will continue to keep this place alive. Over the years, Dream Café has become a favorite place for people in Kohima to go with family or friends and have a cup of coffee, or sample their delicious baked treats while enjoying a lovely view of Kohima. The place itself is synonymous for its warm inviting décor, friendly staff, and good food. To add to its list of kudos, the place has even been featured in a Lonely Planet review.

Jonathan Mesen invoked God’s blessing for the programme.
