Mokokchung, May 20 (MExN): After a very exciting match, Dribbling Machine emerged the winner at the 1st Mokokchung District Club Open Basketball Tournament at the 9th Assam Rifles Basketball court here today. Dribbling Machine defeated Yongpang Club at the final and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 15,000 plus trophy and certificates, while the runners-up Yongpang Club were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, certificates and a trophy.
The tournament was organized by the Highland Dazzlers, a local basketball club in Mokokchung. The Highland Dazzlers, formed a few years ago, have gone up to the state level and some of the players have even featured in the national team. The organizers also gave away two individual prizes. The ‘Most Promising Player’ certificate was awarded to Imkongmeren of Yongpang Club while the ‘Most Valuable Player’ certificate was given to Imkonglemba of Dribbling Machine.
