COFFEE & CHILL bar opens in Longleng
 

Longleng, September 8 (MExN): The inaugural programme of COFFEE & CHILL bar with the tag line ‘Drink What You Grow’ was held with ADC Longleng, D Robin at Omega Lodge, Longleng as special guest on September 7.

The coffee bar is an initiative of District Project officer, Department of Land Resources (DoLR) Longleng and in commemoration of 75th anniversary of Indian's Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsov), stated a DIPR report. 

The ADC Longleng congratulated the DoLR and DPO Longleng for the hard work. “All officers should work together for the benefit and welfare of the public, so that we can have more programs like this in coming days which would basically change the landscape of our future,” Robin said while encouraging the people to visit the bar and taste the coffee grown in the district.

DoLR, Longleng District Project Officer, Kughalu Chishi asserted that it is a unique occasion and a new venture in Longleng district. “The department aims to encourage local farmers to grow coffee to export, promote local entrepreneur and inculcate the habits of drinking coffee in the state. Longleng now has exceptional coffee equipment with the department promoting coffee plantation and has produced as much as 380 hectares of coffee till date,” he stated. 

Chishi assured that “Longleng district will be one of the coffee populated districts with more and better production in the near future.”

During the programme, vote of thanks was delivered by Phamphen Phom and it was chaired by Chingnyei, LDA (LRD) Longleng.
