IMPHAL, February 16 (NNN): A huge quantity of drugs worth Rs 6.3 crores has been recovered by security forces with the help of other agencies and organisations in Manipur. According to the office of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR) based in Imphal, a combined team of 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles along with Thoubal Police, NAB, Manipur and volunteers of Islamic Cultural Research Org (ICRO) and All Lilong Anti Drug Org (ALADA) recovered the huge quantity of the banned drug Ephedrine which was hidden drugs inside a hume pipe in a paddy field at Ngangau Loukon. The recovered contraband items included raw ephedrine weighing approximately 38 kg and ephedrine tablets weighing approximately 25 kg. No date or time of the recovery was mentioned in the release.
