Kohima, August 6 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister (Dy CM) and BLP leader Y Patton also greeted the Khiamniungan and Yimchunger communities for Biam and Metemneo festivals on August 7 and 8 respectively. Patton said that festivals are inherent part of every Naga community and the celebrations are a way of remembering ancestors who left behind great legacy. “The present generation cannot afford to neglect the rich cultural traditions left behind by them. May these celebrations bring the people closer as they come together in unity and brotherhood,” he added.
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy CM conveyed festive greetings to both communities and urged everyone concerned to celebrate with caution and avoid unnecessary mass gatherings.
