Fans of Bob Dylan from Wokha district in Nagaland will be celebrating the legendary nasal twanged folk artist’s 80th birth anniversary on May 24.
“Dylanite 15 will be a private affair with the organiser De Band inviting only a handful of the noble laureate’s fans at an undisclosed location in the district Capital,” informed a press release from the De Band Management.
Dylanite 15 will include alfresco jam on Dylan’s popular songs by the members of the band and invited artists. The event will also include recitation of Dylan’s famous lyrics and discussion on his philosophies related to growth of the society today. Fans will also be allowed to take the stage to belt out their favourite Dylan’s song.
Born Robert Allen Zimmerman, Bob Dylan has many fans in the district and along with De Band the fans have been celebrating the human right champion and lyricist’s birth anniversary since 2008.
