Dynamo FC (Dimapur) and Head Hunters FC (164 Naga TA) today found semi finals berth after defeating their respective opponents in the quarter finals of the ongoing 8th edition of Capt. N Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament 2024 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Dynamo FC- 5, Lengreng FC -4
In the first match, Dynamo FC (Dimapur) defeated Lengreng FC (Peren) 5-4 via penalty shoot-out.
Both the team battled to a scoreless draw in regular time, setting up a nail-biting penalty shootout.
With today’s win, Dynamo FC will face Mez & Co FC (Kohima) in the first semi final on November 11.
Head Hunters FC -4, Western Sumi SA-1
Head Hunters FC (164 Naga TA) overpowered Western Sumi SA (Niuland) 4-1 in the second match.
Western Sumi SA initially took the lead with a goal by Thulunso in the 5th minute, but Head Hunters FC quickly responded with Visieto netting two goals in the 10th and 13th minute.
Later, Thanglenhao increased the score tally of Head Hunters FC in the 56th minute and Winamthiu sealed the win at 67th minute.
