Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has expressed sincere appreciation to the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) for successfully carrying out the clearance of drainage systems across its entire jurisdiction.
In a statement, the Council commended the dedicated efforts of the NSDMA team, stating that the initiative has significantly contributed to improving sanitation, preventing waterlogging and ensuring a cleaner environment for residents of East Dimapur.
The EDTC noted that the drainage clearance work has brought substantial benefits to the town and acknowledged the commitment demonstrated by the NSDMA personnel in executing the task.
The Council also appealed to all citizens to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation by refraining from disposing of garbage, plastics and other waste materials into drains and drainage channels.
According to the EDTC, public participation and responsible waste disposal practices are essential to sustaining the benefits of the drainage clearance exercise and ensuring a healthy and hygienic environment for all residents.
The Council further expressed hope for the continued support and cooperation of the public in keeping East Dimapur clean and maintaining proper sanitation standards.
