Three accused were not NSCN cadres
DIMAPUR, MAY 31 (MExN): Four resolutions were adopted at a joint meeting held in response to the April 19 incident in Dimapur wherein a former ENSF Speaker, Throngso Yimchunger, was assaulted. The ENPO, ENSF and ENWO held a joint meeting on May 31 with the NSCN (IM) represented by its Kilo Kilonser and Convenor of the ENNWU.
The first of the resolutions declared, it was “found that the three accused were not NSCN/GPRN cadres.” The second resolution stated “It was found that the three accused had committed a crime by assaulting Mr. Throngso black and blue which they also admitted.”
As per the third resolution, “the frontal organizations had urged the GPRN to take stern action for the crime and also defaming the name of NSCN and also challenging the Eastern Naga leader.”
“The frontal organizations of the Eastern Nagas have agreed in principle to withdraw the ongoing non cooperation move depending on the action taken report which is to be published in the press media,” stated the fourth resolution.
The joint statement was signed by the president and general secretary of the ENPO, vice president of the ENSF, president of ENWO, kilo kilonser and secretary kilo of the NSCN/GPRN and convenor of the ENNWU.
