Eco Enterprise, a paper cup production unit, was inaugurated on Wednesday at Sungkomen ward, Mokokchung. The enterprise was inaugurated by Tsukti Longkumer, President, Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI).
In a brief inaugural programme, Proprietor of Eco Enterprise, Aotsung Ozukum, said that a lot of research was done before setting up the enterprise and stated that the new business venture will help in giving employment to the people and will work towards boosting Mokokchung’s economy.
Tsukti Longkumer, President, MCCI, said that Eco Enterprise a business that is the need of the hour for Mokokchung. He mentioned about the government’s directives to use paper and paper products instead of plastic and starting the business will not only help in promoting the use of paper products but will also be a step towards the fight against plastic.
He further added that it is not easy to grow in business and that it takes about ten years to achieve instant success in business and that one should not be disheartened and discouraged because not everyone will promote your products and not to stop when there are problems or hurdles.
A short exhortation and a dedicatory prayer was pronounced by N Angum Jamir.
