Kohima, December 12 (MExN): The Department of Economics & Statistics, Government of Nagaland has released seven reports under the SSS Sub-Scheme at DES conference hall, Kohima on December 12.
The reports released include: Type Study on Other Services Sector in Nagaland, Study on Price for GSDP/DDP Estimation, Survey on Urban Waste Management in Nagaland, Thematic Study on Cost of Cultivation on Major Crops & Agriculture Product Pricing at District Level, Survey on Minor Minerals in Nagaland, Methodological Development for improving SDP and DDP, and District-Wise Projected Population of Nagaland from 2021 to 2030.
A DIPR report stated that the special guest H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Advisor for IT&C, Evaluation, and Economics & Statistics, after the release of the reports, expressed his gratitude to the department, making it a highly successful day by unveiling seven reports simultaneously.
He congratulated the department and underscored the importance of accurate data for effective implementation of any department. Sangtam emphasised the crucial role of the Economics & Statistics department and urged officers and staff to discharge their duties with sincerity. He pledged his continuous support to the department and acknowledged the historic achievement of releasing such a volume of reports in one go.
The Advisor expressed hope that the released publications would greatly assist the state government and the people of Nagaland in formulating policies.
The programme was chaired by Charles Nchumthung Kikon, Additional Director E&S, with opening reports presented by Nedilhou Angami, Director E&S; short speech by Mohammad Ali Shihab A, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Nagaland; special number by KM P Themshao, and vote of thanks by Neisatuo Puro, Additional Director E&S.
