•-The Christian Workers Movement of Archdiocese of Bombay expresses its deepest condolences to the affected people of Japan who experienced one of the worst natural calamity by way of Tsunami that rocked the country. It has become important for the governments of the world to understand the need to give up destructive technologies including nuclear technology and begin to develop eco-friendly and alternative technologies. This also has affected the working class society of the country who were midst the devastating inferno that killed many lives. Therefore, the members of Christian Workers Movement appeals to all governments and individuals that we must learn to stop abusing nature and promote harmony between humanity and nature. The need of the hour is 'education in ecology'.
Today there is a need for us to take care of the environment. This devastating destruction in Japan should be an eye-opener to all that we must take care of Mother Earth and look into ways of protecting our nature. We must avoid using plastics and other destructive things that cause harm to ecology and also look into using paper and cloth bags. There is also a need for recycling reusable things like bottles etc. This way we can work to save our ecology. The Christian Workers Movement of Archdiocese of Bombay appeals to all concerned to work together to save our ecology. Using human manpower to machinery will not only provide jobs for a few unemployed people but also work to save our ecology.
