IMPHAL, DECEMBER 20 (NNN): Concerned over the escalating tension between different communities prevailing in Manipur, the Editors' Guild Manipur (EGM) has decided to censure press statements by various organizations, which may be considered inflammatory and inciting communal violence. "In the interest of communal harmony and peaceful co-existence, the EGM also appeals to all organisations both within the state and from outside the state, to refrain from making or using communally charged language in press statements they release," the editors' body on Tuesday appealed. It also appealed fellow media houses to rise above communal lines and not to let their outlets be used as tool to fan the already critically situation in Manipur.
