Wokha: A new Women Society has been formed at Wokha, Christened as ‘Elegans Women Society’.
The newly formed Society elected Mrs. Hetoly Kithan as its President, Mrs. Adani Lotha Vice-President, Mrs. Loreni Tsopoe General Secretary, Ms. Lothunglo Ovung as Asstt. General Secretary, Mrs. Marilyn Ngullie as Treasurer and Mrs. Grace Murry as its Organizing Secretary.
The women’s’ society has been formed with a view to initiate, organize and promote various programs such as Beauty Contest, Fashion Shows and other programs within the district of Wokha.
The society also has visions of undertaking various programs and projects for the benefit of women and youth in general and the physically handicapped women in particular in the days to come.
Miss. Wokha 2005 Contest is being planned for the last week of October 2005 and the society invites participants, sponsors and suggestions for the contest.
Interested persons are requested to contact any of the office bearers for more details.
The Society further seeks co-operation and assistance from the general public and well wishers to make the proposed contest a success, the general secretary said in a press release.
