ELNCCA welcomes ‘Go to Hills 2.0’ prog

The Eastern Liangmai Naga Chief Chairman Association (ELNCCA) has welcomed the gesture of Manipur Chief Minister, N Biren Singh for the support rendered to the hill people and Liangmai Naga community in particular. His recently concluded ‘Go to Hills 2.0’ Community Outreach Programme held on October 22 at Konsaram (Konsakhul) under Kangpokpi district.

On the occasion of 'Go to Hills 2.0' programme, the CM announced various developmental projects which are to be carried out on priority basis. Some of such projects are Mini Stadium and two football grounds at Konsakhul village, construction of 27 km IVR road from Khunkhu Naga village to Asilong ( Langka) village, construction of a market shed at Makhan village, construction of a community hall at Thonglang Atongba village, construction of community hall for Eastern Liangmai Naga Chief Chairman Association at Leikhampokpi, construction of Primary Health Sub Centre ( PHSC) at Makui, construction of Primary Health Sub Centre (PHSC) at Thonglang Akut and pick up weir at Khunkhu village. 

The Association commended the CM for his ‘inclusive developmental approach and fully trust’ that his government will certainly uplift the State of Manipur to a higher level. “The effort of the Chief Minister to bring together both the hills and the valley in the equal pace of development and also to bridge the gap between them is highly appreciated,” ELNCCA said. 

The Liangmai body said that under his leadership, the state of law and order in Manipur has significantly improved and peace has now been restored thus ensuring a true democratic system in the State.
