Kohima, March 7 (MExN): The Western Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (WCMA) has extended greetings to all Naga women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
WCMA President, S Nezolu Rhakho in a press release said that this year, the theme for International Women’s Day is Embrace Equity or #EmbraceEquity. “And as we honour the incredible accomplishments of women worldwide today, we are overjoyed because this year, two of our very own Naga women- Salhoutuonuo Kruse and Hekani Jakhalu Kense- have created history with their victory in the recent general elections. We are immensely proud of them and we take this opportunity to congratulate and wish them the best,” WCMA conveyed. The association also acknowledged the men and the people of Nagaland for believing in Kruse and Jakhalu’s capabilities and trusting them with your mandate. “It is a clear indication that our Naga society is indeed truly embracing equity. May our strength, courage, and grace continue to uplift and encourage others around us! Here’s to advancement, equality, and helping one another out!” it stated.
