DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 26 (MExN): A co-ordination meeting among Air charter service led by Captain Raja Tarun, Chopper medical evacuation team, district health officials led by Chief Medical Officer and State Nodal Health Officer from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare was held on February 25.
The members discussed about strategy to deal with any emergency situation where air evacuation of poll personnel may be required. Dr C Tetseo, Additional Director and State Nodal Health Officer for election stated that the State Government has made elaborate arrangements for all poll personnel and in this regard, government hospitals, military hospitals and private hospitals in the state and some outside the state are empanelled for cashless treatments.
Chopper service for emergency medical evacuation within the state has been in place since February 17 and Air ambulance for patient evacuation outside the state is also in place from February 24 till midnight of March 2.
