'Emergency closure' revoked in Darogapathar

Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): The Darogapathar Village Council (DVC) COVID-19 Task Force has informed that business establishment and public movement in the Darogapathar area would be allowed from June 29 after an emergency closure was announced on Saturday.


Speaking to The Morung Express, DVC COVID-19 Task Force secretary Imti Imsong said that the step was initiated to ensure safety, after a driver of Delhi Public School had tested positive on June 25.
The closure was to be in force until the test results of the driver’s family members was ascertained. The results came negative on June 27 evening, Imsong said.


All proper precautionary measures have been followed, contact tracing has been done and the school has also sealed off the drivers’ quarters as a precautionary measure. Since all precautions have been taken and the results also returned negative, we have decided to allow opening of shops by Monday, he said.


Earlier during the day, the DVC COVID-19 Task Force had called for emergency closure of business establishment and restricted movement of public within the village till further notice.
