
Kohima, September 10 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Agri Allied Farmers Association (ENAAFA) team led by its Founder & Chief Adviser, Wilson K Mongzar held a courtesy meeting with MP (Rajya Sabha) Phongnon Konyak at her residence in Kohima on September 8.
A press note from ENAAFA stated that the Association discussed about the problems faced by the “destitute farmers of eastern region” and sought for her support towards better improvement in agriculture sector under various programmes available.
MP Phongnon Konyak advised the association to tie up with KVK & ICAR and focus to primarily engage in growing local and traditional crops, raising animals, and harvesting fish and other animals.
Meanwhile, the Association also met the Minister for Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along at his residence. They highlighted various problems of the farmers. The Minister expressed willingness to support the eastern farmers with whatever the fund available under his discretion.
