Newmai News Network SHILLONG | OCTOBER 27 Meghalaya Chief minister, Conrad K Sangma on Saturday said that with the changing landscape in the field of development, if North East is to develop and move forward entrepreneurship should be encouraged at all levels. He said this while addressing the gathering at the sixth edition of Youth Leaders Connect began on Saturday at the North Eastern Council Secretariat, Shillong with the theme ‘Made in North-East’ in line with the Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ campaign to focus on developing entrepreneurship in the North-East region. A number of participants and entrepreneurs from the different North Eastern States and others participated in the two-day event. Youth Leaders Connect is an initiative to provide a common platform for young leaders achievers from the North East. It is an annual conclave where young change-makers and leaders from diverse fields like business, politics, academia, sports, music, and culture come together and plan where they would like to see India vis-a-vis North East in the future, plan a roadmap and strategize on intervention at the grassroots and policy level. Inaugurating the function, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma who is also the Chief Host of this edition said, with the changing landscape in the field of development, if North East is to develop and move forward entrepreneurship should be encouraged at all levels.
