ENCSU appeals for mass participation

Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students' Union (ENCSU) today appealed all the Naga students, irrespective of one's jurisdiction and affiliation, to wear black badge starting from November 9. The badges should be worn as a sign of resentment against the Government of Nagaland and Higher Education Department for their failure to deliver justice to the students’ community, the Union maintained in a press release. The Union is launching its phase wise protest from November 9 against the failure of the state government and higher education department to release students’scholarship. It also requested the college authority to extend cooperation and solidarity during the period of protest. ENCSU further asked the government and the department to address the matter immediately before “the situation become unhealthy,” adding that, it will not held responsible if “any untoward situation arises during the course of action.”
