Kohima, July 22 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) expressed deep concern over membership fee collection of Eastern Nagaland students by other organization.
The Union has taken a serious note on unwillingness of the Eastern Nagaland students to pay dual membership fee. It stated that membership fee is a birthright for every citizen to pay to the rightful organization to where he/she belongs.
The Union notified that college students belonging to Eastern Nagaland shall not pay membership fee to any non-Eastern student bodies except to ENCSU, the authorized body.
Meanwhile, the Union requested all the colleges to refrain from collecting and paying membership fee to any other organization without the knowledge of ENCSU, except activities fee from the college.
In a press note, ENCSU President Serichum J Sangtam and General Secretary Sanglekhamba Chang warned that the institutions shall be held accountable in the event of falling to comply with this notice.
