End of an era…a legend passes away

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur has expressed profound shock and grieve on the sudden demise of Mangilal Jain on 24th August 2012. According to a tribute from the Naga Council, “from a trading lineage that stretches over one-and-a-half century in this part of the country since 1856, Late Shri Mangilal Jain struggled and became not only a successful businessman but also an ardent philanthropist and a pioneer social worker who has immensely sacrificed for the Naga society and led his community to contribute towards the growth and development of Dimapur town in numerous spheres including social, civic and economic front”. 

Described as a large-hearted and most beloved senior citizen of Dimapur who respected and held the Naga ethos in high esteem, the Naga society particularly Dimapur citizens have today lost a towering personality whose demise have left an irreplaceable vacuum, the Naga Council stated in its condolence message and tribute issued by Savi Liegise President on behalf of Naga Council Dimapur & Civil society.

The Naga Council mentioned that it would be “our fervent desire that we shall all emulate the noble legacy of selfless sacrifice towards humanity Late Shri Mangilal Jain has left behind so that together we carry forward the positive growth of this beautiful cosmopolitan city in harmony”.

Stating that it was a time of grief for the people of Dimapur, the Naga Council expressed solace to the bereaved family members and prayed invoked the power and comfort of Almighty God to dwell in their hearts and all who mourn for the departed soul.
