ENNWA GPRN/NSCN (U) holds emergency meeting

Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland National Workers Association (ENNWA), GPRN/NSCN (Unification), convened an emergency meeting on April 17. The meeting concluded with a resolution affirming the unified commitment of all central civil and army cadres, and Regional workers to the GPRN/NSCN (U) under the leadership of Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak, President and Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser.

ENNWA, GPRN/NSCN (U) Convener Yimto Yimkhiung and Secretary Moba Konyak in a press release stated that the association condemned and denounced “Kitovi Zhimomi's manipulation of the nomenclature NSCN-NK (Neokpao-Kitovi) as ‘Nixukhu Kitovi’, characterizing it as self-aggrandizing and inappropriately flattering in relation to the ceasefire extension with the Government of India (GOI).”

It asserted that “Kitovi Zhimomi's primary political objective continues to be the deception of the public, even subsequent to his impeachment and expulsion from the GPRN/NSCN (U).”

It further censured “Kitovi Zhimomi for his disparaging remarks regarding Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak, referring to him as old and outdated.” ENNWA emphasized that Gen (Retd) MB Neokpao Konyak has dedicated his life for the Naga nation from his youth, his service evolving in conjunction with the Naga national movement to the present day.

The ENNWA declared that the “ceasefire agreement established between the GOI and Kitovi Zhimomi's associates with the NSCN (NK) affix will be deemed invalid and inapplicable within the territories of Eastern Nagaland.”

The Association called upon all stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and work towards a lasting solution that respects the will of the Naga people.
