ENPO Chümoukedima flays CVC

Chümoukedima, September 29 (MExN): The Executive Committee of Eastern Nagaland People's Union Chümoukedima (ENPUC) has unanimously resolved to invite ENPU Dimapur, Eastern Nagaland Students Union Dimapur, six tribal representative office bearers, ENPO bureaucrats and intellectuals under Dimapur District to discuss the matter relating to May 6 incident in Chümoukedima on October 9.

The meeting at ENPUC Treasurer will discuss further proceeding on the incident,  stated a press release from ENPUC Chairman Mongko Chang and General Secretary Mulio Khiam.

According the ENPUC, in reference to the incident arising between Lotsangkyong Alex and Chümoukedima Village youth, the ENPUC had invited Chümoukedima Village Council (CVC) as well as the youths involved in the incident on September 28 to discuss the “matter for a amicable settlement.” However, to the utter surprise, none of the members attended the said meeting, it said.

The manner and irresponsive attitude of a reputed body like CVC is beyond expectation and the same has immensely hurt the sentiments of Eastern People and ENPUC condemns the  action, it added.
