ENPO condemns August 4 incident

Tuensang, August 11 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has condemned the killing of Mulong, Chang Region Secretary of Khango-led NSCN (K), allegedly by cadres of the same group in Tuensang on August 4. “The incident is contrary to the 18th December, 2007 Tuensang Resolution and 18th December, 2019 Tuensang Peace Agreement based on popular public prayer and demand for peace and tranquillity within ENPO jurisdiction,” ENPO stated. While appealing for all concerned to honour the sentiments of public for peace and tranquillity and refrain from “merciless killing,” the ENPO has also urged the investigating agency to take appropriate legal action as per the law of the land. Further, the ENPO conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family members.
