DIMAPUR, JANUARY 23 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has informed that there will be an emergency joint consultative meeting of the ENPO, 7 tribal bodies, ENSF, ENWO, and the Talk Team on January 25 in Dimapur. A press release from the ENPO informed the President along with one member each from the 7 tribal bodies and frontal organizations to attend the said meeting without fail. “Meeting timing and venue will be intimated through telephone,” it stated. This comes after it became public knowledge that the Eastern Nagaland Legislators Union (ENLU) had decided to participate in the Nagaland General Elections scheduled for February 27. It may be noted that several apex tribe bodies from Eastern Nagaland have boycotted the polls, in support of the ENPO demand for a separate state of Frontier Nagaland.
